Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible Supply Chain Assistant to join our team. Key responsibilities include finding new vendors to add to the Ursa Space supply chain, understanding and documenting vendor capabilities, tracking and documenting legal agreements, and disseminating the information to the Ursa Space team.
A successful Supply Chain Assistant will demonstrate a strong attention to detail along with the ability to discover potential risks for our company.
The Supply Chain Assistant will report to the COO.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the COO in the Supply Chain management function to keep track of vendors and vendor agreements, including NDAs, reseller, derived use agreements, subscriptions and subcontracts
- Coordinate meetings with vendors for data, analytics and services
- Review and document vendor agreements
- Prepare monthly Supply Chain Review presentations to report on agreement status, financial overview, and status of progress towards minimum commitments
- Perform research to find new data vendors (SAR, Optical, RF, AIS) and services providers that could be incorporated into the Ursa Space supply chain
- Document vendor capabilities in a format that is consumable by the Ursa Space team, coordinate technical exchange meetings with vendors
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and performance metrics.
- Work with the Ursa Space team to identify and resolve supply chain issues, such as backorders, delays, or quality issues.
- Suggest process improvements to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance.
- Work with the Ursa Space Compliance Manager to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
- Ability to identify and resolve supply chain issues.
- Proficiency in relevant software and supply chain planning tools.
Preferred Skills
- Reliable internet connection
- Experience in Google Suite/Office 365, Confluence, Jira
Compensation Range
- $25-$27/hour based on skills and experience
- Compensation range includes base salary only
Location
- Hybrid and/or Remote. Required attendance at mandatory Ursa Space in-person meetings when necessary (typically 2-3 times per year)
