Job Summary
We are looking for an attentive and driven Jr. Intelligence Specialist to join our team. Your main duties will be to perform activities that support the Operations Team, to support delivery to government and commercial customers, which may also involve support to Product, Engineering, Rapid Prototyping, Marketing and Sales Teams.
This exempt position will report directly to the Intelligence Specialist Manager. While an 8am to 5pm schedule is expected, other hours may be required as business needs arise; possible shift work and/or on-call availability, with a shift differential applied to weekend shifts; based on the needs of the company, you may be required to work occasional nights and weekends.
A successful Jr. Intelligence Specialist will demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively while maintaining strong interpersonal skills and professionalism, a curiosity and genuine eagerness to learn, ability to handle multiple tasks, show insight for improvement of workflows and product features.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide intelligence analysis support to executing programs for government and commercial customers
- Support and lead the development of new analytic solutions for customers with the Product Teams
- Work with senior and GIS tech team members on precise data processing to required specifications
- Support, lead, and mentor the Product Teams to implement customer requirements
- Perform research and fulfill current and future needs with machine learning algorithms
- Ensure data is accurate, complete and consistent through validation
- Create and update maps and visualizations for projects, as well as assign and validate data to be included in visualizations
- Learn and implement new technologies as necessary
- Have a familiarization of satellite orbits, different kinds of satellite imagery modes, and satellite constellations
- Analyze imagery from a wide range of providers and formats
- Participate in process design discussions
- Support other roles as needed, including business development, proposal writing and/or project management
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting and resolving issues
- While an 8am to 5pm schedule is expected, other hours may be required as business needs arise

- Based on the needs of the company, you may be required to work occasional nights and weekends
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Either 1-2 years of intelligence experience combined with a Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; 3-4 years of intelligence experience combined with an Associates degree in a relevant field; or 5 years of intelligence experience with a high school diploma or GED
- Experience with interacting with computers
- Attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for learning new things
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to juggle multiple projects/requests at once
- Ability to work within a team environment and be self sufficient
- A stable and fast internet connection. You will be downloading, processing, and uploading gigabytes of data each day on a company-provided laptop. We recommend a minimum of 50mbps download and 10mbps upload.If you are going to work remotely, a reliable Internet connection is required
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- GIS experience
- Experience working with the following forms of imagery: synthetic aperture radar (SAR), electro-optical (EO), infrared (IR)
- Experience working with automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B), automatic identification system (AIS), radio-frequency (RF), publicly available information and open source intelligence (PAI/OSINT), and terrain analysis
- Experience with AdTech
- Experience in programming languages, such as Python, is a plus
- Familiarity with software applications such as Google Earth, QGIS, ArcGIS
Compensation
- $90k-$120k depending on experience
- Compensation range includes base salary only
Location
- We are headquartered in Ithaca, NY and have a remote workforce in other locations throughout the United States.
